Why should I check in on my lung health?

The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a virus that mainly affects lung health. Ensure that you are taking precautions for your lung health by staying up to date on your pneumonia vaccines, including Prevnar 13 and Pneumovax 23 vaccines, your daily medications, and keeping up on exercise and eating well during this COVID-19 pandemic. Keeping a strict healthcare regimen will pay off – especially in elderly and immunocompromised patients.

For patients 65 and older, we recommend that you receive your pneumonia vaccines. These vaccines protect against many different types of the pneumococcal bacteria. These are bacteria that cause infection within the lungs. Any person with pre-existing lung conditions or poor lung health are advised to get the vaccine prior to 65. Call our clinic today for more information and to schedule an appointment.
Stay safe & healthy – we are here for you!
